First set up in 1989 by Paul Breuls, Corsan is a fully integrated international film finance, production and sales company with its head office/design center in Antwerp, Belgium.
Corsan finances, develops and produces international/ English language feature films covering a variety of genres to create strongly commercial films with worldwide appeal.
Films with an international cast, renowned directors, and global distribution realized and managed in-house from A to Z in Antwerp, active in the international film world. Corsan’s fully integrated approach—from the selection of film projects to development, production, and financing—is one-of-a-kind, offering added value to the international film market.
Corsan World Sales, founded in 2007, is the in-house sales division of Corsan, handling international sales for both in-house and third party product with Pascal Borno as President Sales and Alain Gillissen as VP Sales & Marketing.
Corsan looks for powerful stories that are script and director driven which resonate with global audiences and attract pedigree creative talent. Leveraging their independent status to explore a range of topics and genres, the company has 100% control to take necessary risks on unique and visionary stories, which have commercially viable appeal and strong global ambition for distribution.
Corsan track record/ production slate
Having concentrated on English language films that have global appeal, Corsan engages respected actors and directors established within the industry. Films produced by Corsan include Paul Haggis’s Third Person starring Liam Neeson, Olivia Wilde, Mila Kunis, Adrien Brody and James Franco, Mark Steven Johnson’s Killing Season co-starring Robert De Niro and John Travolta, Roland Joffe’s The Lovers with Josh Hartnett and Lee Tamahori’s Berlin and Sundance selected film The Devil’s Double starring Dominic Cooper.
Corsan has a full 2015/16 production slate including latest title Emperor with international ensemble cast Adrien Brody, Sophie Cookson, Paz Vega, Oliver Platt, Bill Skarsgard, Götz Otto, Rutger Hauer, Eddie Marsan and Belgian talent Sam Louwyck, Michael Pas and Lize Feryn. In pre-production are The Prince of Cool and Expiration. In development are Confessions of an Economic Hitman and the remake of Academy Award winning All Quiet on the Western Front.
